About David Rook

In 1999, David developed PHG as the premier goaltending school in Southwestern Ontario. David`s extensive experience has enabled him to work at every level of hockey to include the Columbus BlueJackets (NHL), Peoria Rivermen (AHL), and the London Knights (OHL). In 2011, David will be travelling to Europe to work with teams in Switzerland.

 

 

 

 

About Paul Turkalas

Paul grew up in London, playing AAA for the London Junior Knights. He has been both a student and an instructor at PHG for the past 10+ years. In high school, Paul was the recipient of the Ray Getliffe Award for "Rookie of the Year", and went on to play junior hockey for the Lambeth Lancers (SOJHL), Norwich Merchants (NDJHL) and the Strathroy Rockets (GOJHL), earning 2 Goaltending Awards and an NDJHL Championship in the process. He is graduating from the University of Western Ontario in April 2011. Paul is the Goaltending Coach for the St. Thomas Stars (GOJHL), where the goalies have achieved successes such as:

A-Channel Athlete of the Week Team MVP Rookie First Team Allstar Western Conference Goalie of the Month (October 2010)

In the summer of 2010 he had the opportunity to work with top OHL Draft prospects as the Goaltending Coach of Team Alliance in the Under-16 Prospects Event held in Kitchener, Ontario. He also spends a lot of time working with the goaltenders at PEAC, and many other boys and girls minor hockey associations, ranging from A to AAA, and up to Girls Intermediate AA. Paul is also a certified Regional Strength Coach (PICP I), and takes an active part in the off-ice development of the goaltenders he works with.
